Wacky Cake
Recipe make one 8x8-inch cake (9 servings)
Whatcha Need
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 Tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 5 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 Tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cold tap water
Whatcha Do
- Preheat the oven to 350℉.
- In a 8x8-inch baking dish, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Make three holes in the flour mixture. Pour the oil in one hole, the cider vinegar in another, and the vanilla in the last hole.
- Pour the water over the top. Using a spatula or wooden spoon mix all of the ingredients together to form a batter. Smooth out the top to ensure batter is evenly distributed.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely. Remove from the pan, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.
