Chocolate Bliss Macadamia Cookies

These decadent chewy chocolate drop cookies studded with white chocolate chunks and crunchy macadamia nuts in every bite.

Recipe makes about 3 dozen cookies

Whatcha Need:

  • 1 package (8 squares) semi-sweet baking chocolate
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 package (6 squares) white baking chocolate, chopped
  • 2 cups chopped macadamias

Whatcha Do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Microwave semi-sweet chocolate in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min., stirring after 1 min. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla; stir with wooden spoon until well blended. Add flour and baking powder; mix well. Stir in chocolate and nuts.

  2. Drop scant 1/4 cupfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.

  3. Bake 13 to 14 min. or until cookies are puffed and feel set to the touch. Cool 1 min.; remove from baking sheets. Cool completely on wire racks. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.

NOTE:

  • If omitting nuts, increase flour to 3/4 cup to prevent the cookies from spreading.
  • You can substitute 1 cup dried cranberries for the 1 cup macadamias, if desired.
