Recipe makes 2 9-inch double crusted pies.
Whatcha Need:
48 ounces sliced apples, canned
4 cups sugar
3 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
3 teaspoons all-purpose flour
2 ounces butter or margarine, cold
Whatcha Do
- Place apples, sugar, cinnamon, cloves and flour together in large mixing bowl. Stir gently until all ingredients are well blended.
- Divide mixture into two 9” uncooked pie shells. Dot apples with butter. Add top crusts. Crimp edges with a wet fork. Cut several vent holes in each top crust.
- Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour at 350ºF.
