Sorghum Candy with Peanuts

This recipe for retro Sorgham Candy with Peanuts comes from the Brimley Estate in McKinney, Texas and date back to 1987.

Whatcha Need:

• 1-1/2 cups sorghum syrup
• 2 cups shelled parched peanuts
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/4 cup melted butter

Whatcha Do:

In sauce pan boil syrup until it forms hard drops when dropped into cold water. Remove syrup from heat and stir in remaining ingredients. Pour mixture into buttered pans. When cooled cut into serving size pieces.
