Grapette BBQ Sauce
3 - 24 oz. bottles of ketchup
Fill all bottles with Grapette soda, swish, and pour in bowl
Add 2 cups plain vinegar
1 - 4 oz. can of chili powder
1 - 4 oz. can of black pepper
1 - 4 oz. can of garlic salt (not garlic powder)
1/2 cup sugar (more or less to taste)
1 small bottle of Tabasco (1 oz. - 4 oz. to taste)
1 small jar of yellow mustard
- Combine wet ingredients in a large pan and heat on high until just ready to boil.
- Add dry ingredients. Immediately lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir often to avoid sticking.
- User right away or cool to room temperature and pour into sealable containers and store in refrigerator.
