Pawpaw Pie
Pawpaw is indigenous to the U.S. with a taste is similar to banana and makes a wonderful pie. Serve with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream.
Recipe makes 1 pie
Whatcha Need:
- 1 unbaked pie shell
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/2 cup pawpaw pulp
Whatcha Do:
Place all ingredients into saucepan and stir together. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake in a preheated 350-degrees until the crust is done, about 20 minutes.
