This is the original recipe as printed in the Fritos Cookbook of the 1950s.
Recipe Makes 6 to 8 Servings
3 cups Fritos corn chips
1 large onion, chopped
1 can (2 cups) chili
1 cup grated American cheese
Place 2 cups of Fritos corn chips in a 2-quart baking dish. Arrange chopped onion and half of the grated cheese on top. Pour chili over onion and cheese. Top with remaining Fritos corn chips and grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
